Quality in Online Education Conference

The first Quality in Online Education Conference was hosted by the NMSU Quality Matters (QM) System on March 10, 2017.  57 NMSU faculty and staff attended the event.

The Quality in Online Education Conference was a joint venture between Doña Ana, Carlsbad, Grants, Alamogordo, and Las Cruces campuses. The conference was hosted on the NMSU Las Cruces campus with a welcome address from Greg Fant, keynote speakers Sherrell Wheeler (Distance Education Director, Alamogordo) and Shelly Stovall (Director of Accreditation, Las Cruces), and breakout sessions concerning quality in online education, use of the research-based Quality Matters Rubric, assessment, and accreditation best practices for online education. The conference provided a space to connect, learn, and share successes and concerns of online education at NMSU.

The QM System group extends a big thank you to the Online Course Improvement Program, Academic Technology, Instructional Media Services, and the Teaching Academy for their support in preparation, hospitality, and tech support throughout the day.
